Family and philosophy

The knowledge of pressing wine has been passed down in our family for generations and goes back to the 17th century. The great-grandfather built the first stone press in the area, the grandfather was the first to release grafted vines in this area and was one of the first in Austria to bottle wine in bottles from the 1932 vintage. Three centuries of wine tradition are reflected in the high quality and finest harmony of our wines.

The correct processing of the loess soil after the winter months (quality-oriented pruning), the professional training of the vines in spring until the harvest in autumn (targeted foliage work, optimal harvest time, gentle processing of the grapes), the aging of the wine in steel tanks as well in the traditional oak barrel, the careful bottling of the wine and last but not least the best possible bottle storage guarantee you excellent wine quality.

It corresponds to our philosophy to support the wine in its respective characteristics every year and to produce wines typical of the vintage through careful cellar technology. Of course, the Grüner Veltliner plays a central role, which we develop with passion in 6 different variants. Nevertheless, we also cultivate variety. Our wines are natural, quality wines that regularly take top places in national and international competitions. You are welcome to convince yourself of the quality of our wines at a wine tasting. In the season from May - October daily until 6 p.m. without prior notification, otherwise by prior notification.

Our Genießerhof also has a small "wine hotel garni" with 17 exclusively furnished Weinviertel gourmet and winegrower rooms and one of the most beautiful inner courtyards in the Weinviertel.

The Cellar

When the original cellar collapsed during the Second World War our family had to look out for a substitute.  This we found in an old beer-brewery from Renaissance time which was shut down around 1900.
